Latent is the son of the 2003 ADGA Reserve National Grand Champion Toggenburg, SG Sunshine Jack Liaa 1*M 6-04 91 (EEEE). Liaa was the 2nd place 5 & 6 Year-Old at the 2005 ADGA National Show, 4th place 5 & 6 Year-Old in 2004, and 1stplace 4 Year-Old at the 2003 ADGA National Show where she was named Reserve National Grand Champion. Liaa is a striking general appearance doe, who is tall, long and elegant with correct and modest teat size and proper placement. She is strong on her feet and legs, with correct breed markings.

Latent's sire, ++*B Sunshine Twiggy's Timothy, sired the first FS94 Excellent classified doe, GCH Sunshine Timothy Sarazina 4*M. In 1979, Sarazina was the ADGA Reserve National Grand Champion Toggenburg and also received the ADGA National Best Udder award.
