Emblem's dam, GCH Elm Glen Exie 1*M 4-04 91 (VEEE) has an in progress DHI of 261 2342 4.0 94 2.9 68; she has won Best-Of-Breed numerous times during both the 2003 and 2004 show season, including the Mid-South State Fair and the Wisconsin State Fair. She was also the 1st place Five-Six Year-Old at th 2006 ADGA National Show, the 2nd place Four Year-Old, a member of the 2nd place Best-Three-Females and the 3rd place Dairy Herd at the 2004 ADGA National Show. His granddam, GCH Winterwood's BC Blue Grass 2*M 5-05 92 (EEEE), also has an impressive DHI of 2147 16810 3.7 619 3.4 576.
Emblem's first yearling milkers have excellent medial suspensory ligaments and teat placement. They seem to be slower maturing, like most of the Elm Glen herd, correct, but without tremendous body capacity until maturity. The dam, GCH Elm Glen Exie 1*M 4-04 91 (VEEE), could have more angulation to her rear legs, but her son, Elm Glen War Emblem 2-04 89 (VEE), is very wide legged and has good angulation to the rear leg set. His half sisters have also appraised well, Elm Glen Xonia 3-06 90 (VEEE) and Elm Glen Banshie 3-07 87 (+EEV). His paternal sisters have been 1st place Yearling Milkers at both the 2003 and the 2004 ADGA National Show.
His daughters have both appraised very well as yearling milkers, Elm Glen Sonata 1-05 88 (VEEV) and Elm Glen Wimbelton 1-05 86 (+EVV). You can expect rear udder arch, correct teat placement and dairyness in this young buck's progeny. ~ Jennifer Lohman-Peterson
