Armageddon comes from a strong doe line that has proven itself for excellent mammary systems, structural correctness, and strong milking ability, for generations. His dam, GCH Redwood Hills Oracle Allegra 7*M, is linebred on GCH Redwood Hills Sunshine Profecy, who produced many outstanding sons and daughters. Allegra continues her dam's legacy by being long and extremely level with a very uphill appearance. Her udder is well attached with an exceptional high, wide rear, strong medial and smoothly blended fore.
Armageddon's sire, Missdee's Barracuda was the 1995 ADGA National Premier Alpine Sire and he has many stylish daughters that excel in sharpness and level toplines including GCH des Ruhigestelle Free Thinker 4-04 91 (EEEE), and GCH des Ruhigestelle Lucy Brown 3-05 88 (VEVV), the 1995 ADGA National Junior Champion and des Ruhigestelle Free Aire 4-03 90 (VEVE).
Armageddon had an outstanding crop of first freshening daughters that are stylish, upstanding, level, correct, and sometimes have a lot of flashy color. This young buck has already sired the 2001 All-American Alpine Junior Kid, GCH Alpine Valleys RHA Iola 5*M, who was also 5th place Two Year-Old at the 2003 ADGA National Show. Iola's son sired the 2006 ADGA National Reserve Champion, Alpine Valleys Honey Oats. Another daughter, GCH Alpine Valleys RH Kaleidoscope 5*M, was 6th place Two Year-Old with 1st place Udder at the 2003 ADGA National Show. These two daughters were undefeated as yearlings and two year-olds until the 2003 ADGA National Show. They each earned their permanent championships as two year-olds at their first three shows out. Iola has been three times Best-Of-Breed and was also the 2001 All-American Junior Kid.
Even when he was bred to average or below average does, Armageddon has produced level rumps and beautiful mammary systems that are improvements over the dams. He has consistently improved fore udder attachment, rear udder arch and medial suspensory strength in his daughters. These first freshening daughters are also milking well, with average production weights of 10.1 pounds of milk, 3.7% BF and 3.1% protein in our herd. Armageddon has tested negative for CAE and Johnes. ~ Lee Ann Fosdick
